Article 44 — Unique Parcel Identification Number

1/ The assignment of unique parcel identification number shall be given in order of descending government administrative structure and shall fulfill the following features: a) A unique parcel identification number that has been assigned to a parcel may not be given to another parcel; b) It shall remain permanent even during the exchange and transfer of holdings; except in cases of division and amalgamation of holdings. 2/ The unique parcel identification number shall contain: a) The regional identification that shall be represented by two letters; b) The zonal identification that shall be represented by two numbers; c) The woreda identification that shall be represented by two numbers; d) The kebele identification that shall be represented by three numbers; e) The parcel identification that shall be represented by five numbers.
