Article 37 — Recognition of Customary Land

1/ Regional laws shall recognize customary institutions; customary land use and management practices, and conflict resolution mechanisms and shall provide support and follow-up. 2/ Customary land use and management rules and conflict resolution mechanisms shall be of no effect where they contravene the fundamental constitutional rights, women rights, as well as the rights and obligations provided by other laws.
